The 2024 Westpac Gala Ball at the Town Hall, with help from Venues Ōtautahi, was a complete sellout!  As our guests gathered, the stage was set for a great night with theming representing sunrise and sunset.  He Tīwai Mātauranga | Heaton Normal Intermediate School welcomed guests with a very special kapa haka followed by a warm welcome from Westpac Chair, Pip Greenwood.

Miriama Kamo, a huge advocate for the service, steered us magnificently through the evening which combined excellent entertainment and delicious food and wines. Thank you to sponsor ANZCO for their support with the exceptional meat provided; New World for the lovely selection of New Zealand wines and all of our sponsors and guests who contributed in so many ways.

Over $160,000 was raised on the night thanks to our supporters providing amazing auctions items, including the GCH Aviation private jet trip to Queenstown. Our rescue pilots and paramedics helped to support the evening as well as share their experience.  Brendan Daly and his wife Liz took to the stage, with Intensive Care Paramedic Steve Pudney, to tell us about his life saving experience with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

It was an emotional evening with a real shared sense of support and everyone wanting to help.

Thank you to Kate and the team from Collective Concepts and to our principal sponsor Westpac – we are already looking forward to next year’s event!
