Thank you to the Wilding Family,
Te Mania Angus Stud
The Wilding family of Te Mania Angus Stud near Kaikōura very generously donated a prize bull for their annual auction sale in June.
We were over the moon with the auction result for Bull Lot 100, which sold for a record $14,000.
It was exciting to be there with farmers from all over New Zealand. The fast-paced well-organised event saw a huge turnout. We were so grateful for the support from the Wilding family, and to everyone in the room bidding. The amount raised will save three people’s lives.
The Wilding family have had several life-saving trips in the rescue chopper over the years. Sam Wilding had his first experience at age four after a tractor accident left him seriously injured. This year his son Archer was born in Christchurch Hospital after his partner Aly was safely airlifted from their home in North Canterbury in the rescue helicopter.
