The Christchurch Trust team of Christine, Leonie and Clare were joined by GCH Aviation Chief Operating Officer, Declan Smiddy, and Lead Ambassador, Stewart McSkimming on a visit to the Greymouth Base.
We shared the upcoming developments for the base, including the recent roll out of mechanical CPR machines and the immanent trial of ultrasound on the coast. We talked about the amazing work being done at the base to make the space better for our crew including the extension of the car parking facilities and the ongoing work on living quarters.
Paramedic, Matt, told the group about his training in Christchurch and the work that he’s been doing as a relatively new member of the crew in Greymouth. Huge thanks to Matt for his great explanation of all that work, we’ll all remember the explanation of using night vision goggles being like looking through binoculars.
GCH Aviation COO, Declan, talked about the new developments coming in across the service such as Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and aircraft standardisation.
Thank you all for coming along.
