Air Rescue Ambassador
Hi my name is Mark Inglis and I am proud to be an Ambassador for the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue.
Like many charities the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust has been significantly impacted by Covid-19.
Fundraising is down close to 50%. However, mission numbers are up as life goes on; there are medical instances and accidents and emergencies and we all need the Rescue Helicopter to be there in these life or death situations.
To me, supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter is just one of those things you do. It’s like a proactive insurance; we all have insurance for our cars, houses, contents. Supporting the Rescue Helicopter gives an assurance as accidents and medical emergencies happen to all of us. You could be doing the gardening, out cycling, driving, working, we never know what is around the corner.
I just like to know there’s a safety net for me and my family and friends. I see the absolute need for the Rescue Helicopter. It gives everyone in our community a peace of mind. When I hear the chopper, I am relieved as someone is getting the help they need.
