New Air Rescue Trustees!

Westpac Rescue Helicopter (ZK-IGI) in Greymouth

Introducing Danny Schroder and Chris Weir

Danny recently joined the Air Rescue Trust and currently works as the head of event attraction and planning at Vbase in Canterbury. Danny has worked in a variety of locations across Australia and New Zealand and gained his Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma at Victoria University of Wellington.

Danny Schroder

Chris originally trained as a lawyer and worked in Christchurch before heading to Hong Kong where, after a short stint as a government lawyer, he joined a major global bank. Assignments in Hong Kong, Dubai, Bangkok and London followed. During this time he completed a Masters degree and subsequently became a fund manager overseeing the Asia-Pacific investments of four Gulf families. Chris returned to Christchurch permanently in 2010 and then joined the board of a NZX listed company engaged in the marine engineering sector where he also chaired the audit committee. Since 2011 Chris has been a director of St George’s Cancer Institute in Christchurch. He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and in July 2020 joined the Board of Trustees of the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust.
