The crew continue to ready to respond 24/7 through COVID-19 and as we transition into Level 2. The crews have been tasked to jobs throughout this pandemic and will continue to be a lifeline to those in need during this difficult time in our community.
The Canterbury have been tasked to a variety of missions across the region, including locations: Little River, Ashburton, Timaru, Kaikoura and Hawarden.
The crew responded to 17 accident related missions in April including multiple motor vehicle accidents. Accidents from leisure activities have increased as the country has moved into Level 2, and the crew responded to walkers on the Port Hills, a spearfishing accident and a quad bike incident.
