Sign up for the Back to Base Challenge!

This August take up the challenge to walk, run, ride, ski – however you want to move – to raise funds to support the Canterbury Westpac Rescue Helicopters and the ROA Mining Rescue Helicopter.

For the whole month of August you can take on a distance challenge, get fit, improve your mental wellbeing and raise money to support the training and equipment needed on every rescue helicopter in our region.

Show us you’re taking part by tagging #backtobasenz on your social media posts!

We are working with Run NZ Run to put on this challenge so you will be taken to a different website to sign up.

How it works

The Back to Base Challenge is all about picking a challenging distance for you to achieve during the month and getting sponsored to do that for the Westpac and ROA Mining Rescue Helicopters

Pick a distance that will challenge you and decide how you’ll cover that distance. Walk, run, cycle, wheel or ski. We don’t mind how you move.

Share

Let your friends, family and colleagues know that you’ve taken on the challenge and ask them to help by sponsoring you. #backtobasenz

Rise to the Challenge

Work out how far you need to move each day or each week. Over the whole of August, track your distance to get to your target.

Raise Money for the Rescue Helicopter

Help us to move forward too. Your sponsorship money will ensure that the Rescue Helicopter can support more people in the future.
