Dan’s School Presentation on ICP, Kath Copland
We want to share a special story with you, which is presented by Dan, a 9 year old from Methven Primary School, it’s a project about Kath Copland a St John and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Intensive Care Paramedic.
Dans presentation as follows:
“My name is Dan and I go to Methven Primary School. We are doing inquiry projects at the moment on Special New Zealanders who show some good qualities in the jobs they do. I picked Kathy because she is my friend and works on the Westpac Helicopter and helps people. My Dad also helps on the Ambulance in Methven. Kathy’s job looks like fun because she can fly up to Mt Hutt and all over the place. She is kind and caring when helping people. She needs to be focused on the job. She needs to be Brave when on the winch and needs to show perseverance if it’s a hard job she is doing.
I chose to do a display for my project so I could use all my emergency vehicles and show the helicopter flying above, I added some of my LEGO as well. I asked Kathy some questions about her job and added those into it. I showed my class when I had finished and they were all really amazed to see it.”
The Trust wants to extend our congratulations and thanks to Dan for his fantastic presentation. It is great to see young school students like Dan do such a fantastic job in showcasing their knowledge of the rescue helicopter service. Congratulations again to you Dan!
