February 11, 2012

 

A 9 year old male from Amberley was flown to Christchurch Public Hospital from Glasnevin, north of Amberley, at 6.30pm today by the Canterbury based Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

The young boy sustained a serious laceration to his lower leg after being thrown over a wire fence whilst riding a motocross bike.   

The patient was treated by St John Ambulance from Amberley, Rangiora and the Westpac Rescue Intensive Care Paramedics at the scene for his injuries and is in a stable condition at the Chch Hospital.

 


 

February 11, 2012

 

A 53 year old male from the West Coast was flown to Christchurch Public Hospital from Motanau beach at 5.30pm today by the Canterbury based Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

The male had been thrown from a small runabout whilst returning to the beach from a dive trip, he sustained moderate to serious multiple lacerations to both of his lower legs from the boats propeller.

The patient was treated by St John/Westpac Rescue Intensive Care Paramedics at the scene for his injuries and is in a stable condition at the Chch Hospital.

 


 

February 08, 2012

 

A 25 year old female from Rakaia was flown to Christchurch Public Hospital at 6.30pm today by the Canterbury based Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

 

The patient had fallen from her horse.

 

The patient was treated by St John/Westpac Rescue Intensive Care Paramedics at the scene for pelvic injuries and is in a stable condition at the Hospital.

 


 

February 08, 2012

 

A 53 year old male from Geraldine was flown to Timaru hospital at 9.30am today by the Canterbury based Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

 

The male was trampled by a steer while loading livestock onto a stock truck.

 

The patient was treated by St John/Westpac Rescue Intensive Care Paramedics at the scene for moderate injuries and is in a stable condition at the Hospital.
