Two women were flown off Mt Hutt on Saturday during a busy day for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Ski area manager Dave Wilson said the pair were taken to Christchurch Hospital about 12.30pm after falling.
A 54-year-old woman had an injured arm and suspected neck fracture, while an 18-year-old had a wrist injury, he said.
Garden City Helicopters general manager Simon Duncan said the helicopter dealt with three other emergencies on Saturday.
At 11am, it was called to help a mother and child whose car had crashed into a bridge after slipping on black ice at a farm near Oxford. The child had abdominal injuries.
At 5.30pm, the helicopter flew to Hamner Springs to take a 32-year-old man suffering an epileptic seizure to hospital.
About 8.15pm, it transported a man in his twenties, with suspected spinal injuries. The man was injured in a car crash in the Lewis Pass.
All of the injured were in stable conditions yesterday, Duncan said.
